THIS WEEK'S RECALIBRATION study will be unique for two reasons. 1)
We're going to overview a radical document- "The Sermon on the Mount"
from Matthew 5-7 and Luke 6:17-49. 2) Please note that this week there
will be only an evening meeting (Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.) due to the
fact that the Pastor will be flying back from a ministry event in
Grand Rapids that morning.

NEXT SABBATH we will have a picnic lunch at the Stong home after
church. There will be directions on the information post. In case of
rain, let's meet downstairs. No picnic today due to the holiday.

Summer Picnics

We will be starting our summer picnic schedule the second Sabbath of camp meeting, July 27, at Ralph & Debbie Gifford''s house right after church. Bring whatever you'd like to share.

On July 4 we won't have a picnic, but on July 11 we'll be at Jeff & Darla Stong's home. Many thanks to Pam Weisher for her diligent work in scheduling all the picnics.

WE WILL HAVE A CHANCE to Recalibrate this week on Wednesday (10:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.) and then we will then take a one week break during the SNEC Camp Meeting. You'll can be ready for the discussions if you read Mark 3:13–19 and Luke 6:12–16 this week and then for July 1st "The Sermon on the Mount" from Matthew 5–7 and Luke 6:17–49.

SNEC CAMP ENGLISH CAMP MEETING is June 19–27, with many wonderful speakers and seminars. Plan to take advantage of as many as you can. See sneconline.org for details, including weekends for other language groups.

CHURCH BUSINESS MEETING: This Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. We will discuss the
budget and many important facility issues, most notably the wheelchair
ramp. It is in much worse condition than we thought and it must be a
front-burner item. Please plan to attend this important meeting.

RECALIBRATION: The ministry of Jesus is really picking up steam in our
Recalibration studies. You'll not want to miss this week, when we'll
look at Matt. 12:9–21, Mark 3:1–19, and Luke 6:1–16. Join us Wednesday
at 10:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.

SUPPERTIME FRIDAY: This Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Pam & Bill Weisher's

We continue to thank each and every one of you for your continued prayers and inquiries as to how Judy is progressing with her recovery from abdominal surgery and her full-out battle with ridding herself of ovarian cancer.

THIS WEEK brings regularly scheduled duties for our Finance Committee
(Monday at 7:00 p.m.) and our Church Board (Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.)
Please remember these good folks in prayer as they deliberate about
the contours of our ministry in this community.

THIS WEDNESDAY'S RECALIBRATION events (10:00 a.m. & 7:00 p.m.) will
have us revisit Capernaum, where Jesus moves some disciples to a new
level. If you want to get twice as much out of it, you'll want to read
Matthew 4:13–22, Mark 1:16–20 and Luke 5:1–11 before you come.
"THIRD FRIDAY" is just about here, and you won't want to miss it. This
Friday evening (7:00 p.m.) the Pastor will be walking us through a

Important Changes in DVD Policies

Effective immediately, College Church DVDs and CDs (more on that later) will be offered on a donation basis. All previously published "prices" are now "suggested donations." This accomplishes several things:

It enables those who have to live more frugally than most of us to re-experience the blessings of the services by giving what they can afford;
It simplifies our record-keeping;
It precludes potential legal complications;
It should enable you to deduct on your tax return part or all of what you give. (You may need to account for the value of the item; check with a tax professional.)

Starting today we are also offering audio-only CDs of the sermon portion of each week's service. Please see the table in the foyer for CDs and information.

So now, when you get a College Church DVD or CD, simply make a donation for it by placing something in the box on the foyer DVD/CD table or by including a line for DVD Ministry in the Local Church section of your tithe envelope. The listing of suggested donations follows, but no one will be denied if they cannot afford these donations:

Single DVDs: $10.00 each.
Three or more DVDs ordered at the same time: $9.00 each.
DVD subscription (gives you a DVD of each week's service): $25.00 per month.
CDs: $3.00.

We pray that these changes will expand the reach of the College Church audio/video ministry for God's glory.

When you log in, make sure it says College Church in the upper right hand corner (see the picture on our web site). If it doesn't, please log out, go to <http://www.thecollegechurch.com/giving> and click the link there.

Some have tried to use the link on the Southern New England Conference web site or to go directly to Adventist Giving, and several bad things happen when you do that:

The College Church doesn't receive any donations you give.
Those sites do not have the option to donate to any College Church-specific ministries such as our church budget.
In some cases you may not be able to log in at all.
