IN OUR LAST RECALIBRATION we saw Jesus begin to draw a line in the sand for discipleship.  Let's now (Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.) observe how this changes His ministry as we spend time with Matthew 15:21–16:12 and Mark 7:24–8:26.

STERLING HEALTHCARE MINISTRY: This Friday at 10:00 a.m. To participate, contact Michelle Lee Williams at 508-728-6495.

HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE:
  • Be part of the Impact Lancaster holiday food basket team. Obviously, the economy makes this ministry more important this year than ever before.  This afternoon at 3:00 p.m. (in the Chapel) we'll be organizing anyone who can be part of this effort over the next few weeks.  We need you!  First we'll need drivers and volunteers to distribute about 1,500 empty bags to the community on Sabbath, Oct 24. On Sabbath, Oct 31 we return to collect the filled bags and deliver them to the our work site. (SLA and AUC students get community service credit for this project.) The more workers we have the more families we can help.
  • Next Sabbath we begin to touch the community for the community.  At 2:00 p.m. (in the Youth Chapel) we will organize to disperse 1,500 empty bags to homes and next Sabbath afternoon we will go out again to collect the filled bags and deliver them to our food drive work site.  We need you!  We need you to drive and/or to drop off bags and to pick them up next Sabbath.  Please join us at 2:00 p.m. to begin the work that will make a huge difference for families in our community.
  • Last year our holiday food drive provided many meals for 155 families in our community.  Can we touch 200 this year?  We need your help (in donations of cash or food staples) to make such a dent.  One portion of a meal could be purchased for 15 families for $45.00.  If you could sponsor 50 ($150) or 100 ($300) we could make a huge difference in our community.  (Of course, any gift will be truly appreciated even if you are limited in your ability to donate.)  Cash gifts or checks may go in tithe envelopes as "Food Drive Fund" and our treasurers will let our leadership team know the amount of money they have to spend in purchases.  You may also choose to bring food items (to the Youth Chapel) any Sabbath from Oct 31 to Nov 14.  Thank you!
