Key Announcements for March 22, 2008

Several key announcements are below. Please remember that it is assumed you are reading them Sabbath morning. There will be additional important announcements in Sabbath's bulletin.

PRAYER FOCUS With health concerns we remember Ethel Jensen. We also remember the concerns in the foyer prayer book.

WELCOME, GUESTS! Following the 11:00 a.m. worship service today we invite you to our fellowship dinner, hosted by the right side (Robertson) and Chapman Sabbath School classes.  The Merriman team will host next week's dinner.

ATTENTION COLLEGE CHURCH MEMBERS! The OLT is preparing for the opening of a series of evangelistic meetings starting April 26. We need your help in praying for the presence of God's Spirit as we move towards mending broken relationships in and outside of our church and community. Our first re-consecration and season of prayer took place last Sabbath, and all those that were present received a blessing. A need was presented, and God's people answered the need. Thank you for giving such as you did. Let us continue to pray for the needs of our community, family, associates, and the efforts OLT is making to Share Him. Come join us as we move towards building relationships with Christ. Our next meeting is today at 2:00 p.m. in the Junior Room.

GAME NIGHT Come tonight at 7:00 p.m. for our last one for this school year.

COME TO OUR HOME tomorrow for Pastor "Mo's" pancakes any time between 9:00 a.m. and noon. We'll have a special "hunt" for the kids at 9:30 a.m. Pastor "Mo" & Jane

THE MEN'S CHORUS will not meet tomorrow due to the Easter holiday.

WOMEN'S NIGHT OUT Enjoy the night out this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. around my tables for good food and fun fellowship. No tears—only if you're laughing!  Jane

Key Announcements for March 8, 2008

Several key announcements are below. Please remember that it is assumed you are reading them Sabbath morning. There will be additional important announcements in Sabbath's bulletin.

PRAYER FOCUS With health concerns we remember Edith Jarschke (Annette Siver's mother), Scott Handel (a friend of Darla Stong), Ethel Jensen and their families. We also remember the concerns in the foyer prayer book.

WELCOME, GUESTS! Following the 11:00 a.m. worship service today we invite you to dinner in the Fellowship Hall, hosted by the Davis/Trott Sabbath School class. No one will be in the kitchen during the worship services, so bring your items ready to serve. Next week is our haystack lunch, so church family, please bring toppings and a dessert. The church provides the rice, beans and chips. Thanks, Jane

WE'RE MOVING, as was announced last Sabbath. Pat will be the senior associate at Spencerville Seventh-day Adventist church in Maryland. We will be there tomorrow through Thursday looking for housing and possible employment for Jane. Please pray for us. We will pray for you and the future of The College Church. This has been a very hard decision to make. We love you very much. You have been our church family and friends. As is often the case children don't understand—"Don't they like us?" or "Did we do something wrong?" Please reassure them that they are very much loved by us and we will never forget them. It's not a pretty sight to see us crying so don't get us started! Come, explore the DC area with us any time. Lovingly, Pastor "Mo" & Jane

ATTENTION COLLEGE CHURCH MEMBERS & FRIENDS! You can help in the planning, organizing, and implementing of lay evangelism campaigns. This is an exciting time to get involved with the many different OLT activities. Church members just like you are organizing new ministries, reviving old ones, and enjoying planning to bring others to Christ. This is a spiritual movement that you may never have seen or experienced before!
The upcoming evangelism series will be live. College Church members such as yourself will present God's love. Pick up a list of speakers at this Sabbath's meeting, stay to hear about last week's Share Him rally here at the church, and join us for a half hour of re-consecration and prayer prior to the campaign. Everyone in God's church has a talent to share, so come and let yours shine for Him. We will be meeting in the Junior Room at 2:00 p.m. today. Will we see you there?

"SPRING FORWARD" Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour tonight as we switch to daylight saving time. If it seems early this year, it is—Congress changed it. We will switch back later, too, in November.

MUSIKGARTEN, PLAYTIME AND ALL CHOIRS are on spring break this Wednesday. See you next week!
