Remember that it is assumed you are reading these announcements on Sabbath morning.
PRAYER FOCUS Please pray for AUC, SLA and Browning. With health concerns we remember Sonia Bowen, who is recovering from surgery, Leon King, Laura Lee Williams, Lillian O’Handley, Eric Bartlett, Sharon Olejniczak, Carolyn Stump, Jim Norcliffe, and their families. We also remember the concerns in the foyer prayer book.
WELCOME, GUESTS! Nancy & Bob Broderick and Michelle & Karl Hernandez along with their team will host today’s fellowship meal. Church family: if you wish to stay, please bring food. Next week will be an all-church-bring whatever you’d like meal, so plan accordingly. I could still use someone to “volunteer” to host the first Sabbath of the month all-church meals. (It wouldn’t have to be the same person(s) each time, you could sign up for a specific Sabbath) Jane
SNOWSHOE/WALK THE OXBOW National Wildlife Refuge. This will be an easy walk, looking at the trees, deer, beaver chewings and birds, including wild turkey. We’ll enjoy a winter sunset at the Reservation. If you’re not yet a member of Friends of the Oxbow, discover what we’re helping to preserve and expand for the younger and older folks of central Mass. Meet in the church parking lot at 2:30 this afternoon, or follow the directions linked on the weblog page of our web site. Call Pete Christoph at 978.365.9558 for details.
SUPER-SOUPER WEDNESDAY Bring your family, come alone, bring a friend—what ever works for you!—to supper at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays before prayer meeting, women’s chorus or Youth Nite, etc. Bring a monetary donation, a pot of soup, a platter of sandwiches or a bowl of salad & dressing with you. The Youth Center will facilitate the supper in the Fellowship Hall.
SUPPERTIME FRIDAY It’s almost a new month and that means this Friday, March 2, is the first Friday of the month, which also means it’s supper at our house! So come and enjoy fellowship with our church family at 6:00 p.m. Pastor “Mo” & Jane
DR. GEORGE BABCOCK has announced his resignation as president of Atlantic Union College, effective May 31, so that he may resume his retirement. (See the article in the upcoming March newsletter for more details.) Please pray for AUC to find the person of God’s choosing to succeed him.
