TODAY we join thousands of churches across North America to collect a special offering that will benefit the worldwide ministry of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency. Millions of families are suffering the effects of political turmoil, natural disasters, and disease. For many of them, however, the comforting love of God may seem as uncertain as living one more day. The Disaster and Famine Relief Offering is an opportunity to send hope around the world, to share a part of our blessings with a child, a mother, a father who may be struggling desperately for a little bit of dignity. ADRA will ensure that your gifts provide food, education, medical aid, emergency relief, and development assistance to those in need. In the process, you will be giving someone a gentle breath of hope and, perhaps, a much needed reason to keep on living.
THE NEDLEY DEPRESSION RECOVERY PROGRAM will be offered in the Youth Chapel beginning this Monday at 6:00 p.m. This introductory session is free, and it will be repeated next Sunday, May 21, at 6:00 p.m. Eight weekly sessions will follow. This program is for those who deal with depression and for those who care for them. For more information, contact Pastor Elizabeth Castle at 978.368.2130.
WOMEN’S NIGHT OUT will be this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Come enjoy supper together and an evening of fellowship at my home. As is noted in the following announcement there will be a presentation about the Shawl Ministry. Maybe you’re not interested in that—no problem—not everyone is! But everyone is invited. Jane
