Key Announcements for Aug. 15, 2009

Several key announcements are below. They are written as if you are reading them Sabbath morning. There will be additional important announcements in Sabbath's bulletin.


PRAYER FOCUS: 

  • Health Concerns: Rena Forrester Romor (Virginia Livermore's sister-in-law), Suzie Ruiz (Danny Sierra's cousin), Arthur Bowen, Jr., Thor Montgomery, Joan Lufkin, Jayne Baccus-Hurley, Luis Gregorio (Sonia Bowen's brother), Sharon Olejniczak, Judy Brown, Neal Peisley (Kathy Grellman's father), Cliff Pope, Amanda Bailey, B.J. Behrens, Peggy Day, Laura Lee Williams. 
  • Bereavement: The family of John Alden (Elaine Kennedy's brother), who died suddenly on Tuesday. Services were in Maryland yesterday. Also, the memorial service for Dan Smith will be at the Gardner church today at 3:00 p.m. 

WELCOME, GUESTS! Please join us after church today for a fellowship picnic at Marge & Frank Howe's home. Directions are on the information post in the foyer. Members: please bring plenty of food to share. Next week's picnic is at Vera & Dean Davis's home.

COMMUNITY CAFÉ: We provide and serve food at the café tomorrow from 4:00–6:30 p.m. Please call Barbara King at 978-368-8419 if interested. 

PASTORAL STAFF MEETING: This Monday at 4:00 p.m.

THIS WEEK our Wednesday Recalibration events will continue to capture new visions from Jesus' statements of philosophy. (Matthew 5:15, 13:33, 44, 45, 47, Mark 4:21, 26—29, and Luke 8:16, 11:33, and 13:20—21.) Please join us at 10:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. for more depth in His parables.

ADAMS PARK OUTING: Join the Social Committee on Sunday, August 30, at 10:45 a.m. at the Adams National Historical Park in Quincy, MA. There will be a guided tour of three historic homes.
