Key Announcements for Feb. 9, 2008

PRAYER FOCUS With health concerns we remember Raymond Dow, Scott Handel (a friend of Darla Stong), Ethel Jensen and their families. We also remember the concerns in the foyer prayer book.

TODAY’S OFFERING helps provide essential outreach funds for It Is Written, Faith for Today, and Breath of Life. As these ministries labor to touch lives and change hearts, let’s each lend support to our church’s media voices. Please mark your offering envelope for Adventist Television Ministries.

WELCOME GUESTS! Following the 11:00 a.m. worship service today we invite you to dinner in the Fellowship Hall, hosted by the Broderick/Hernandez team. Next week is our haystack luncheon. Church family: please bring toppings and a dessert.

GAME NIGHT Come tonight at 6:00. It’s a “no frills” event—just bring your games, wear your tennis shoes, put your snack out on the table and enjoy the evening. Social Committee

LOVE AUC STUDENTS! Please bring “an abundance” of homemade cookies to be bagged and distributed to the students. Bring your cookies by this Monday morning at 9:00 to the church kitchen. If you’d like to help bag them at that time it would be great! Jane

THIS TUESDAY IS A HISTORIC DAY. For the first time in a generation, a representative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will testify before Congress in support of the rights of Sabbath keepers and other people of faith in the workplace. It is a tremendous opportunity—but to capitalize on it, we ask that you lift us up in prayer on this day, as well as send letters to your representatives and senators in Congress.
