Key Announcements for Jan 26, 2008

Several key announcements are below. Please remember that it is assumed you are reading them Sabbath morning. There will be additional important announcements in Sabbath's bulletin.

PRAYER FOCUS With health concerns we remember Scott Handel (a friend of Darla Stong), Roy & Betsy Latimer (Holly Nosek’s parents), Nelle Steiner (wife of Stanley Steiner, former College Church pastor and SNEC president), June Harris, Leslie Carr (Lance Harris’ mother-in-law), Tim Millet, Beverly Hall, Ethel Jensen, Peggy Day, Sharon Olejniczak and their families. We also remember the concerns in the foyer prayer book.

WELCOME, GUESTS! We invite you to our fellowship dinner in the Fellowship Hall after church today, hosted by the Merriman team. Next week is the all-church first Sabbath of the month fellowship dinner. This will be a planned meal as announced previously. Bring soup and relishes (carrots, celery, olives, pickles, etc) or sandwiches and a dessert. Jane

AFTERNOON PROGRAM Come and get an unvarnished view of the mix of religion and politics in Washington from James Standish, our church’s representative on Capitol Hill. Bring your questions, no matter how controversial, because there will be plenty of time for Q&A. For free e-mail updates on breaking religious liberty news from Capitol Hill, to post your thoughts on the Liberty blog, or to find out about paid one year legislative fellowships in our church’s Capitol Hill office, visit www.religiousliberty.info.

GAME NIGHT is tonight at 6:00 in the Fellowship Hall. As usual, bring snacks to share, your table games and appropriate shoes for ping-pong—always an opportunity to visit and fellowship. Social Committee

THE 8:15 SERVICE resumes next Sabbath.
