Key Announcements for Apr. 14, 2007
Remember that it is assumed you are reading these announcements on Sabbath morning.
PRAYER FOCUS Please pray for AUC, SLA and Browning. With health concerns we remember Laura Lee Williams, Stan Collins (Ed’s dad), Peggy Rittenhouse, Regina Preston, Beryl Christoph, Sharon Olejniczak, Carolyn Stump, Jim Norcliffe, and their families. We also remember the concerns in the foyer prayer book.
In bereavement we remember the family of Vera Ness (William’s mother), who passed away last Sunday 10 days short of her 96th birthday. Her funeral will be in Iowa this Monday.
COMMUNITY CAFÉ College Church members are needed to provide and serve food at the café tomorrow from 4:00–6:30 pm. Please contact Barbara King at 978.368.8419 if interested.
A POOL PARTY, sponsored by the College Church Social Committee, will be held at the AUC pool’s open swim tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. Since Monday is Patriot’s Day the kids don’t have to be to bed as early, so come on out! All are invited. There is a charge if you’re not AUC faculty, students, Atlantic Union Conference employees or members of the pool.
WOMEN’S NIGHT OUT Come for supper & a relaxing evening around the table(s) at my home this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. I look forward to it—I hope you do too! Bring someone with you. Jane
PRAYER MEETING This week Bradley Hyde will lead us in a study of Jacob’s prayer in Genesis 28:20, 21. Join us at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Junior Room.
LINCOLN STEED, EDITOR OF LIBERTY MAGAZINE and Associate Director of the Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Department of the North American Division, will be here for two sessions next Sabbath. He will be the speaker for both the 11:00 a.m. service and a session at 3:00 p.m. In place of our regular haystack dinner, there will be an all-church fellowship dinner. Bring your food ready to serve as there’s only one church service.
REMEMBER, next Sabbath there is no Early Worship. Everyone will join together for the 11:00 a.m. service. It will also be the culmination of SLA’s Week of Prayer with participation from the students.
