Key Announcements for Oct. 21, 2006

PRAYER FOCUS
With health concerns we remember Eric Bartlett, Beryl Christoph, Ray Dow, Sharon Olejniczak, Carolyn Stump, Ottilie Stafford, Jim Norcliffe, and their families. We also remember the concerns in the foyer prayer book.

WELCOME, GUESTS! Join the monthly haystack lunch after the 11:00 a.m. service in the Fellowship Hall. The church will provide the chips, rice and beans. Members: please bring toppings, such as lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, salsa, etc. and a dessert. Next Sabbath’s dinner will be hosted by the Broderick/Hernandez team.

THE ATLANTIC UNION COLLEGE MUSIC DEPARTMENT will present a vespers program today at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Please join us for this sacred program that will include musical compositions performed by students majoring in music as well as readings for meditation.

FALL WEEK OF SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS “Normal Christianity,” a video series with Ben Maxson, will be our study base this week. Join us for examination, discussion and prayer. Let us grow together. The meetings will be in the chapel nightly at 7:00 p.m. starting this evening and finishing next Sabbath.

LIVE THEATER TONIGHT! Come see an all-student cast enact Lorraine Hansberry's 1958 classic A Raisin In The Sun tonight at 7:00 in AUC's Machlan Auditorium. This full-length play featuring the struggles and aspirations of a poor black family in Chicago's South Side has been a year in production, so come support the cast and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Produced by AUC's English Department. Free admission. Bring a friend.

YOUTH NITE Meet at the church Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for community outreach.

AUC FACULTY LECTURE SERIES 2006–07 Reuben Kimwomi, Associate Professor of Chemistry, will present “Antioxidants and Sunscreen Products from Vernonia Galamensis Vegetable Oil” this Thursday at 7:00 p.m., Science Building Amphitheater.
